I never knew you.
You never knew me.
The quiet storm
never calmed.
The surface was seemingly tranquil
but the undercurrents
swept us both away
from each other
and ourselves.
I think we once wanted
to know each other.
At least I want to believe that.
You reflected me
in strange and dangerous ways.
The mirror we both looked into
was never warped.
The mirror was never fractured.
We simply reflected onto each other
the warps and fractures
we both shared.
